Founded in 2020 by Charles (Jed) Luther, Red Patch Outdoors focuses on making the outdoor experience better. Enter Ethan Pateman. Through the years, Jed has developed our gear to take care of Ethan. From Ethan's constant requests to put his tube back on his pack for him, to holding Ethan's bow while he checks his phone, Jed made every piece to not only make Ethan's hunts easier, but also his own as well. Ethan and Jed extensively test our gear in the hunting grounds of Western Montana.

Both our founders greatly enjoy helping new hunters get started. They were both fortunate enough to grow up in outdoor families. This love of sharing knowledge lead to the creation of the School of Hard Nocks. They aren't professional hunters or coaches, they're hunters. With over 20 years of experience each, they both are able to draw on their own experiences to try and make the curve shorter for those that want begin their journey!
